“As a husband, father, and Christ follower, I am passionate about serving my family as Christ has served me throughout my life. I also have a background in hospitality that enables me to form warm and genuine relationships with those around me. I seek to provide an environment of safety, compassion, and acceptance for clients to experience freedom in sharing their story.”
Jacob is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate supervised by Dr. Darline Hunter, LPC-S. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Houston at Clear Lake and received a Masters of Arts in Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary. During his time at seminary, he also received certification as a Relate Strong Group Facilitator from Pepperdine University’s Boone Center for the Family. He also enjoys volunteering for Clear Creek Community Church with his wife in leading couples' groups in various formats.
Jacob has worked with adolescents, couples, and adult clients experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, relationship issues, and other challenges that are often a result of circumstances experienced in childhood. For therapy, he embraces an existential and person-centered approach integrated with cognitive-behavioral therapy as well as attachment and systems theory when needed.
